Deputy Director, Network Relations

The Deputy Director, Network Relations, assures that NACHC has and implements consistent strategies for strengthening and improving health center operations with a focus on costs, quality and patient/provider satisfaction. The Deputy Director advances health center performance improvement through targeted work with networks, stakeholders and other partners, including Federal and State government officials. Networks are defined broadly as those organizations which can improve the financial performance, operational productivity, and efficiency of health centers, including federally funded Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCNs) and networks of providers and payers.

The Deputy Director works in close coordination with the Director of Primary Care Association (PCA) and Network Relations, VP of TTA, and across all NACHC Departments with key staff and leaders whose subject matter expertise intersects with network maximization, value transformation and NACHC’s relationship with PCAs and networks.


  • Advance health center operational performance improvement through on-going data analysis and industry monitoring. As a result of this analysis, directly inform NACHC’s work  with health center-controlled networks, state-based primary care associations, payer entities (including managed care organizations, Medicaid/Medicare, etc.) and health care/hospital systems in which health centers operate. Support health centers readiness and implementation of volume to value-based care delivery and payment.
  • Strengthen the relationship between NACHC and networks, which ,may be achieved through traditional or non-traditional partnerships. Assure networks and NACHC programs are complementary.                                                                                                                                                     
  • Promote more effective coordination, internally at NACHC across departments and externally, between networks, and key stakeholders. Increase internal and external understanding of network services, replicate promising practices and assure strategic coordination of issues.                                                                                     
  • Create meaningful communication that identifies issues or problems, opportunities for improvement, and provides the necessary follow-up. Assure cross-NACHC participation and dialogue in matters affecting networks and PCAs.       
  • Assure content coordination, reduce duplication and highlight strategic and relevant topics through the development, facilitation and delivery of educational opportunities for HCCNs with TTA partners; modalities may include  national meetings, conferences, webinars and technical assistance.
  • Facilitate and provide programmatic content guidance for NACHC’s HCCN Senior Leader Orientation, HCCN Task Force and the HCCN Leadership Team, including, but not limited to: Leadership Team standing meetings/calls;
  • Full Task Force in-person meetings at NACHC National Conferences; and
  • Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)/US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) strategy and programmatic meetings.


  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years’ work experience (or related higher level education) in managed and/or accountable care organizations, payer/financing, population health management, health system or related organizations
  • Work experience preferred includes data analysis tracking of process and outcome metrics, formulating or implementing program/ policy concepts or operations and convening diverse groups
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and customer service

  • Previous work in a trade or member organization, and/or experience in supporting/designing education sessions at a state, regional, or national level is strongly desire.
