Online Training Specialist

The Online Training Specialist is responsible for overseeing the online training program, including the assessment, plan, implementation, facilitation, tracking and day-to-day operations.  Works with all staff to ensure that online training goals are accomplished and helps facilitate successful online meetings.  Also responsible for tracking participation of various training initiatives along with assisting the Meetings & Exhibits and Technical Assistance & Training Departments with conference set-up, marketing, and coordinating online events. 


Specifically, the Online Training Specialist will:  

  • Develop and refine the NACHC’s online training best practices 
  • Schedule, setup, coordinate, and assist with all NACHC online trainings
  • Process training recordings for publishing to an LMS
  • Train staff with established training policies, proceduresand best practices
  • Serve as the liaison between staff and NACHCs various online training partners 
  • Update and keep current all NACHC website(s) with all training and conference materials as required  
  • Setup trainings using Cisco WebEx Events/Training and iMIS
  • Keep current with training partners, updates, and management tools releases
  • Maintain and monitor the training calendar using WordPress 
  • Manage data collected at conferences for distribution to vendors and learning partners
  • Research Office 365 available software, productivity and collaboration tools, Prepare Technical documentation and create learning objectives
  • Prepare teaching session for NACHC Staff about Apps, software and hardware available and create a SharePoint site for documentation and support


  • Work with partners for various certificate programs
  • Maintain and update all required attendee records and processing certificate of completions for Board Certification, if required
  • Assist members in accessing NACHC’s Learning Management Systems 
  • Advise staff with corrections, additions or deletions to the online course content
  • Promote, publish and assist the marketing of training programs
  • Work with WebEx to ensure that service levels are met and recommend changes to the contract to better fit NACHC’s online training goals and needs
  • Process invoices for WebEx and other partner services
  • Create/Revise internal staff training guides for technology, software, and processes within IT purview

Qualifications for Position: 

  • BA or BS degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of online training experience (required)
  • Experience with WebEx Events and Trainings or similar webinar platforms (required)
  • Strong attention to detail and organization 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to resolving problems and issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general information and data 
  • Ability to effectively present information in a clear manner, demonstrate procedures and respond to questions  
  • Computer and internet skills for minor technical support and to communicate with other IT staff

Amount of travel and any other special considerations: Occasional travel for major annual conferences; Occasional night and weekend work
